Depositing Seeds of Faith

sunflowerz.png

We are reminded about the importance of the Great Commission of Matthew 28 " Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

We believe evangelism should be done personally or in small groups not to encroach or intimidate. And the good news of the Gospel should be deposited as a seed and nurtured carefully. We should remember that we too were once non-believers, and many have been blinded to the truth. So, we would urge each lady to carry personal unique packets of seeds each new year. We encourage our ladies to carry them wherever they go that they too are share God’s good news as led by Holy Spirit. Depositing seeds of faith, with encouragement or compassion & prayer. Remembering one sows, another one may water and the Heavenly Father will guide them to him when they too seek him. So pray for the individual ( even if led to do it silently) and if led give them a packet of seeds as a gesture of good faith ( remember we are to love our neighbor as ourselves .) Then at the end of the season, plant any leftovers seed and start a block garden so you can share as led. If able then can, jar or dehydrate for community cupboards and if led donate to food pantries .

Remember the Bible tells us in Genesis 2:15NIV " The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it." So we are to be good stewards of the world and our gardens as well. *Also be sure to pray about if the Lord wants you to embrace the sabbatical year cycle or the Jubilee year in your gardening.

IRemember to pray scripture as you plant even a simple thank the Lord for the harvest to come like Jeremiah 29:5 says “Build us houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens and eat the fruit of them.” Thank you Lord for a bountiful harvest and for providing for us. We love you and we thank you in advance , we ask only for your will to be done Father. In Jesus' name. Amen

Or reference to Psalm 107:37 KJV “And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.”

Psalm 118:24 NKJV "This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it." And if led sing praise to Lord while planting and nurturing them. Share some love with your plants and encourage your family to get involved. Keeping in mind every bountiful harvest starts as a seed. And the Lord is the one who grows it. If available start a community garden and share any lefts overs with groups like Ample Harvest or others.

It's ok if you don't have a garden space, start off small and indoors and transplant as needed. Remember to ask the Father to help fulfill your needs , with your home, property etc. as you expand and grown. Maybe in prayer reference scripture like Matthew 19:29 NIV "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life."  And also Philippians 4:19 comes to mind "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." and remember always ask for the Father's will to be done if you are unsure in your situation. And ask Holy Spirit to reveal things to you to help you while on your spiritual path. Then stand and believe he will do what the scripture promises in your individual situation.

Also if you are concerned about little critters getting into your garden you may want to grow plants indoors and or place certain plants out of reach of curious, hungry little mouths and use only animal safe, nontoxic homeopathic herbicides or pesticides if you decide to go that route.

Good Stewards Of Earth

The Bible establishes a clear mandate for humans to be good stewards of the Earth, emphasizing that the Earth belongs to the Lord and that humans are entrusted with its care  Genesis 2:15 states that God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden "to work it and take care of it," establishing a foundational responsibility to cultivate and preserve creation  This stewardship is further reinforced by Psalm 24:1, which declares, "The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it," reminding believers they are temporary tenants, not owners, of the land  The call to stewardship includes responsible management of resources, sustainable practices, and a commitment to protect the environment, as human actions have consequences on the Earth, which is described as being defiled by disobedience and pollution.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27 NIV

jesus rock.png

Be sure to include your "Jesus" rock in or near your garden to not only glorify the Lord but making a "Jesus" Rock can also be a fun and creative way to help guide others to Jesus or perhaps help build up others in faith or encourage others to do the same. Psalm 62:7 "My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge."
