Just starting out?
We suggest in the beginning just the basics, nothing too formal in training.
You will learn the basics of warm ups, breath control, pitch, diction, posture, timing and cool downs. But not to be overwhelmed, singing is fun and with praise singing we focus on God and he is the audience we are most concerned about.
Many kids can learn just by listening even for pitches when others help them fine tune with ear training.
We also suggest engaging music videos to help aid in communication and can help water a musical seed, that God given gift deep within every potential musician and music lover.

Posture is important too and so is having fun while dancing! Singing praise can boost confidence and help engage in positive outlets that interest the kids.
Lyric memorization is valuable skill but it is also another fun, healthy avenue to help aid kids to engage their minds to learn.

Holiday events like caroling are fun, interactive ways for kids to not only learn how to convey love to God but also a beautiful,healthy way to express themselves through music.
These types of events and outings usually help get over inhibitions the kids might have can help them get over shyness. And in some case fan a flame for the love of performing arts later in life.
They are also rewarding to kids and those in the community who become kids at heart during holiday time.
( And usually includes marshmallows or cocoa as an added bonus. ;)

Praise is not only a beautiful way to express your love to and for the Lord. Praise is also a wonderful way to connect with God and thank him for all he has done for us. So whether it's singing a song or playing an instrument it's about the conveyance of gratitude and love for the Lord. The Bible also reminds us it is also a powerful weapon during life's battles.
