What's YOUR Outlook on Spirituality & Going to heaven?
Author Dr. Gabriel Etzel did a video on Moralistic Therapeutic Deism ( M.T.D) and although it may sound like a big term that might not sound important . He points out a growing trend and a view on God these days for numerous individuals - in it he stated
" And then we're going to talk about the concept moralism, moralistic, therapeutic in Deism as well.
The five aspects they say:
One -a God exists who created in orders the world, in watches over human life on Earth.
(That's the first basically mindset they'd say, encapsulated in this idea of moralistic, therapeutic deism, )

The second- God wants people to be good, nice, and fair to each other, as taught in the Bible and by most world religions.
​
Three- the central goal of life is to be happy and to be free or to be happy and to feel good about oneself.
​
Four- God does not need to be particularly involved in one's life except when God is needed to resolve a problem.
Then five- good people go to heaven when they die."

So, in follow up to this outlook. it is very important to point out the flaws and falsities to those with this M.T.D. outlook. Many are confused today with this mindset but as many of us born again Christians now know different, not because we are better than anyone else or more special. But because Holy Spirit convicts our hearts and illuminates certain truths. Many of us grew up claiming to be Christians but had a deist view ( that God is only far away , watching us like a clock maker watches on his creation). But as numerous former confused, cafeteria Catholics can attest. We too grew up alongside many in the pews with who had this same outlook and we lived in a constant state of having a sinner's point of view wondering if we were good enough to go to heaven vs realizing that it is Jesus who already paid the ransom for our sins alone. And through repenting and having faith in Jesus we too can be saved, healed and delivered. He alone is the bridge to God, because HE alone, died for our sins and paid the ransom for each of us. And Jesus was resurrected by God and conquered sin and death for us. He alone was the only perfect one to redeem us and restore us back to GOD through his sacrifice on the cross.
Many people believe God wants us basically to be good people & base their eternity on how good they might live vs realizing it’s about recognizing what Jesus did for us. And how God loved us so much he sent Jesus to save us. And through the Lord Jesus, God himself came to Earth and he died for our sins & through our repentance and confessing our faith in him and only truth and acting on this we have secured a place with GOD in heaven as his adopted children because only Jesus can cross the chasm ( or canyon ) of sin a human has between us and God because he is HOLY. And being a good person and acting on the morals God instilled in us on our hearts is not enough, knowing Jesus is so very important. And through him then The HOLY SPIRIT can then guide us and help us become good people and true followers of Jesus Christ. And walk in his ways daily. And through Jesus also The HOLY SPIRIT helps understand our true identity in Christ and he helps prepare us for the purposes God has for us individually and helps us use our God given gifts and talents to help build up God's kingdom here on Earth.

​According to the Bible, specifically in Romans 10:9-10, it is written: “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

It's about Praying, and truly repenting and believing. We need to ask Holy Spirit to help us, we ask him to convict our hearts and accept our whole hearted repentance and to help us turn from our sin and become transformed anew and lead us then ask God to lead us to be baptized. Then walking out our faith daily.

It’s knowing a person! Jesus is the only relationship and focal point that will provide true fulfillment in life. This is because He is our only bridge to God, and without God, we have no hope. We are born without hope because the Bible says, “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard” (Romans 3:23). No matter how good we try to be, we can never measure up to the perfect standard of God who does not endorse sin of any kind. Therefore, we were destined to be judged guilty and eternally separated from God (eternal death). Again, the Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).The good news is that Jesus made a way for us to be saved. He accomplished this 2,000 years ago when He was born in a humble manger, lived a sinless life, and then died a sinner’s death on the cross in our place. His innocent shed blood washed us clean in God’s eyes. Jesus was resurrected so that now, through faith, we can also be resurrected to a new life and therefore become a whole new creation! (See 2 Corinthians 5:17.) To put your trust in Jesus, simply ask Him to forgive your sins and invite Him into your heart. Give your entire life into His care! Are you ready to know Jesus in a personal way and accept Him as Savior? "
Then pray a prayer of faith out loud "Lord Jesus, I know You died for my sins. I believe it with all my heart and today I put my trust in You. Forgive my sins, wash me clean in Your precious blood. I give my life to You. I give You my dreams, my hopes, failures, and pain. I place my life into Your hands. Make me a brand-new person as You have promised, and in return I promise to follow You with my whole heart. In Your Name Lord Jesus I pray, amen."

"WATER BAPTISM -Now that you have prayed to know Jesus personally, the Bible teaches the next step in our walk with God is called water baptism. Water baptism is a biblical ordinance given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. The word “baptism” comes from the Greek word BAPTIZO which means to plunge into or submerge. It’s an action that means to be totally submerged in water. Baptism isn’t what saves us, but rather it’s an outward expression showing that our old life has been buried with Christ as we are submerged in the water. As we come up from the water, we show that we are raised with Him into a new life. Baptism expresses outwardly what we have received within and is therefore a defining moment in our faith."
